Hey! This is Brit and Bethany together! We need a place to post our thoughts together, and we thought...why not blog? Anyway, one or the other or both of us will periodically post, if for nothing else, so we can look back on the last few weeks of our first year of college and remember. To remember today. To remember these moments. To record how we affected change, how we lived all out there for today and for tomorrow...
So for today.....
This is Brit. I'm feeling a bit...rocky. I feel burdened for fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are feeling discouraged and down. There's one guy I'm especially burdened for. Also, one of my friends knows of a girl who was in a bad car accident, and we're praying hard for her. Somehow, all of this leads me back to September 2007 when Josh and Tim were in their accident. I'm in some ways reliving it. It might be the most vivid memory of my life, finding out they were gone. But, this has shocked me and moved me into living for today, because today might be all we have. I want to do as much today as I can to impact the world for Christ. I want to let Him shine through me and my actions and even thoughts. I want to be radically in love with Him, so that my presence screams His name without me having to say a word. I love the people around me, and I want them to have the joy and security and adventure that I am having. So...on the docket of prayer for today:
-Savannah: in a bad car accident, brain damage?
-Jonny: going though a rough patch
-Michael: direction, purpose, and relationship repair
-Jamie: healing, understanding
Well...I'm hitting the hay so I can go out and live life later today!
